Swap spaghetti for spinach

Nothing is more comforting than a big bowl of pasta, covered in sauce. If you are anything like me, then you always end up with way too much pasta as I always over estimate when “measuring” it and end up eating far too many calories from pasta.

A great tip is to replace all, or half, of the spaghetti you would use with spinach. As well as have many health benefits, spinach is pretty much 0 calories, so the calories saved could be used for extra topping – which is the best bit about the dish anyway.

If I have over eaten at lunch, but still want a filling and tasty dinner, then I cook up a huge bag of spinach and make a vegetable pasta topping (tomatoes, onions, garlic, herbs and other random vegetables) and make it with the spinach and serve it in a big bowl. You get a really nutritious and filling meal for about 200 calories.
