Oaty Apple Crumble

I love dessert and although I like to keep a healthy diet, I also don’t like to miss out. When it is summer, it is pretty easy to have healthy desserts. Fruit and low fat Greek yogurt are in abundance, these frozen bananas are always in my freezer and I get a bit of a frozen yogurt obsession. But, as soon as those leaves start to turn brown and the temperature starts to drop, those desserts go out of the window and I crave something warm and comforting. Most pies and crumbles are full of calories and fat, so, as always, I turned one of my favourite desserts, apple crumble, healthier. It is similar to this mixed berry crisp, but more wintry.
Serves 2
Ingredients
- 4 large apples (which ever are your favourite)
- 1 tbsp fructose sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 70g porridge oats
1) Chop the apples into medium sized chunks, put in a saucepan and cover with fructose sugar.

2) Stir in the cinnamon and cook for 5-10 minutes on the hob on a medium heat, until apples have softened.

3) Put apples into a shallow dish.

4) Sprinkle over the oats and bake in the oven at 180C for 15 minutes.

5) Serve.
