These are perfect for canapés at a party/buffet, but equally they would be great as a side dish with so many meals. If you don’t want to use fish sauce (if you are vegetarian or it is too strong for some), then you can substitute soy sauce (but I try avoid this as much as possible because of the MSG).
Ingredients:
- 1 butternut squash, peeled and cubed
- 1 tbsp fish sauce/soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 3 tbsp sesame seeds
1) Put the cubes of butternut squash in a large bowl and add the fish sauce, honey and sesame oil.

2) Sprinkle sesame seeds over and bake at 200/400/Gas Mark 6.

3) Serve.
