Frozen Yoghurt Dipped Strawberries

by Dannii on July 31, 2011

It has been so hot today that all I want to eat is anything that comes out of the freezer. By trying to not give in to the temptation of a huge tub of Ben and Jerry’s, I came up with this little frozen bite-sized treats. To be honest, anything that combines strawberries and yogurt and keeps me cool is a winner in my book.

Ingredients:

- Strawberries

- 0% Fage Greek Yogurt

1) Wash the strawberries and leave the stalks on – these will help to hold them.

2) Dip the strawberries in the yogurt and put on greaseproof paper in some  kind of dish.

3) Freeze for 2 hours. When you take them out of the freezer, leave for 10-15 minutes to soften a little before eating.

I don’t see any reason why not. I haven’t tried it myself, so let me know how it goes. You would need to let them defrost a bit before eating them though :)

Just got home from the supermarket with a quart of gorgeous organic strawberries. Then I read this recipe. I was so afraid these lovely gems might turn before I could enjoy them all. Now I don’t have to worry! Thanks ;-)

Is there something you can use instead of wax or parchment paper? Like foil or a greased pan?
