Mojito Light

by Dannii on June 21, 2012

Traditionally this refreshing cocktail has sugar in, but I really don’t think that you will miss it. After all, it is the mint that is the star ingredient.

This is a simple cocktail to make and you can still enjoy cocktails with your friends without over doing it.

Ingredients for Mojito Light:

- 1 measure of white rum

- 1 lime, quartered

- 4-5 mint leaves

- Soda water

1) Muddle the mint and limes in a glass until mashed up.

2) Add ice, rum and soda water and mix.

I love mojitos, but usually pass them up because of all the sugar. Thanks for this re-working. I think I’ll give it a try! Thanks!!

You’re welcome! I always think they are too sugary when I get them in a bar, so I actually prefer them this way.

I was trying to leave this comment on the date night post but couldn’t! I wanted to say amen to this quote “happiness is moderation and enjoying life and being healthy at the same time.”-definitely!
That looks like a great night out; I’ve been to one of those skewers-of-meat places and it was brilliant – and I think I need to try a marshmallow daiquiri…. Great pictures of the two of you :-)

Oh no – thanks for letting me know. I have no idea why comments are only enabled on recipes. Looking into it now!

It takes a while to find that moderation balance, but it is definitely the way forward :)
