Creamy dips are a given at any kind of buffet, but they can be one of the things that contains the most calories. Add in some high calories things to dip in it and you have a buffet disaster if you are trying to watch your weight.
If you have been following my recipes for a while, you have probably noticed that I LOVE to use yogurt in a lot of things as a replacement for higher fat/calorie ingredients, well dips are no exception. Whereas a lot of dip recipes would use sour cream as a base, this recipe used fat free Greek yogurt and there is no sacrifice in taste.
- 250ml/8oz fat free Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp fresh coriander (cilantro), chopped
- 2 tbsp chili sauce. I used a peri peri one that I found that was low in sodium. Try and choose the lowest sodium chili sauce with the fewest ingredients
1) Mix all of the ingredients together and serve with sticks of carrot and cucumber.
