I am SO happy to finally be able to announce our exciting news that we are expecting our first baby in early November. We are out of the first trimester and I am finally starting to feel good, so what better time to share the news!
Firstly, we are back from our 3 week trip around Greece and feeling really relaxed and ready to take on this next part of our lives. Recipe posts will be starting up again from tomorrow.
Some of you might have guessed already (or seen the social media update), as I have spoken about being unwell, and my eating being off, but we didn't want to announce it too early. To be honest, it has been a really rough few weeks for many reasons and there have been a lot of doctors and hospital visits, but we are out of the woods now and everything is great. So, instead of dwelling on what has happened, let's focus on what is now happening. I am growing a healthy and happy baby!

After being together for 16 years now, we felt like it was time that we added to our family, and more than just another cat. It was SO important for us to see a lot of the world together, just the two of us, and also enjoy a few years of marriage as just us and that is what we have spent the past 16 years doing. But now, it's time for us to start a new adventure and whilst I have no doubt that it is going to be our most challenging adventure yet, we have never been more excited about anything in our life.
I have had the most horrendous morning sickness for the first trimester and it's actually more like all day sickness. So, eating well and creating and posting healthy recipes has been a challenge. So, thanks for sticking around whilst everything has been a bit up in the air and sorry for the lack of social media posts. You will see why soon when I do a post about what I have been really eating.
Don't worry though, Hungry Healthy Happy is not going to be over-run with baby posts. There will be a few updates, mainly related to food and fitness to keep it relevant and when the baby arrives there will be a few photos, however there is another announcement. At the end of this month I am launching the Hungry Healthy Happy KIDS website. We have created a new website that is dedicated to to all things pregnancy and baby and then all things children as our little one gets older. This isn't a place where we will document our kid growing up at all, but instead a blog about everything we are learning along the way, with some humour thrown in.I will share all the details when it goes live.
We are finding out the gender of the baby on Sunday and I can't wait to start shopping! Thanks for all the lovely congratulations messages on social media, this baby already feels very loved.
Let’s stay in touch!
